This is one component of the activity to organize a Youth-led Competition on Promoting Indigenous Knowledge for Better Resilience to Saline Intrusion in the Mekong River Delta.
The achievements of the activity as follows:
- Collaborated with the Youth Union of Tien Giang province to design the guideline on writing concept notes and full proposals on drought and saline intrusion for young people in Tien Giang province. The guideline was sent to the Youth Union of 11 districts and city of Tien Giang province. Under the support of the Youth Union, members of the Youth Union completed the concept notes.
- Collaborated with the Youth Union of Tien Giang province to receive and review the concept notes on drought and saline intrusion, of which 20 concept notes were selected to prepare full proposals. The best proposals will be selected based on the follwing criteria: i) Effectiveness; ii) feasibility, and iii) creativeness
- Organized an one-day training on “Writing grant poposals on adaption to drought and saline intrusion for the youth” for 30 members of the Youth Union at the district level and 7 members at the province level. The training was aimed to : i) provide knowledge on drought and saline intrusion and its impacts on social-economic; and ii) structure and method for writing proposals on drought and saline intrusion adaption.
